5 Quick Tips to starting your own tee biz

  1. Start
    1. If you have an idea and you haven’t executed it a year later, you’re holding yourself up, for no reason...just start.
    2. No matter how much you plan you will have to learn as you go! So start!
    3. You either win or you learn, you need to do both but you have to start to do anything.
  2. Technology
    1. You’ll need a hub to sell products (I use Shopify
    2. You’ll need social media to drive traffic (IG is the homie)
    3. You’ll need a tool to create graphics (I use Canva
  3. Mindset
    1. While building your business, treat everyday like millions of consumers are watching! If your posts are only getting 1 like, post anyway! If you stop promoting yourself you won’t sell the things.  Don’t do that.
    2. Don’t concern yourself with how many other t-shirt businesses are out there.  Take a look at the bread aisle in the grocery store, so many brands make bread, they aren’t concerned with oversaturation.
  4. Listen to your customers
    1. Instead of making products and then finding a customer, you should be making products that you already know customers want.  The best way to learn this is by listening to what your customers want.
  5. Be authentic
    1. People don’t buy products, they buy people (I don’t know if I quoted that quite right but you get it).
    2. Be yourself, your tribe will appreciate it and it’s less work than being someone else…
    3. People will check for you because you’re you.  For example, Cardi B. We love to love her because she’s herself, unapologetically.

Get going, you got this!

The qualities impeccable of this product and because it’s when owned it has done with so grace. It was delivered so quickly I loved it! And guess what? I’m really from Chicago.

I really wanted to love the sweatshirts ...

I really wanted to love this sweatshirt, but the sizing is terrible. I am speaking from a plus size perspective (2XL), I think the unisex sizing makes it difficult to fit a plus size person comfortably. I ordered a 2XL knowing that this is unisex sizing and wanted it to fit on the looser side. However, the top and shoulder area is enormous, yet the lower half of sweatshirt is very tight with not much stretch. I also didn't care much for the material, it is not very soft and leaves fuzzies when layered with a tee. I was hoping it was soft and stretchy like my Nike hoodies. This was my first time buying sweatshirts. I have always been satisfied with the tees, those are great! I was hoping I would be happy with this purchase, but I was not. :( Please consider separating men's and women's sizing to fit a female frame a little better. Thank you!

High quality sweatshirts

Loved both of them!
